This is until I jump out of the virtual machine and then back in. In Windows , it will not scroll at all, but simply “lock” the entire window I had active until I jump out and then back in again. I’ve checked the drivers, and they are all “standard” in both the host Windows 7 x64 and the virtual machines. The mouse is a wireless Logitech and no special drivers for it is loaded. When trying to search for a resolution, I only get a lot of hits on people running Linux having issues.
Does any of you have any idea on what I can do to get normal scrollwheel functionality in my virtual machines? Check the mouse hardware acceleration?
I know we have issues on our VM’s when it is on. Hardware acceleration is unavailable greyed out. I installed the drivers for the Logitech mouse but that didn’t make any difference. I vaguely recall some issues with a 3 button or scroll wheel mouse with Fusion. Somewhere in the general Fusion options there was a mouse optimization setting that you could change which helped in my case. Perhaps workstation has something similar. Sorry for the probably completely useless post..
Not useless! However, I found a setting for “game compatibility” regarding the mouse which makes no difference at all from what I can tell. More suggestions? This sounds like a driver problem with the default virtual mouse driver. I did not know at the time of the topic start. You can try disabling the horizontal scrolling in SetPoint and see if that helps.
I’d do a test in the VM and see if all the buttons are working. Think we’re getting somewhere. In the SetPoint application, it identifies my mouse pretty accurately as a VX Revolution, albeit it is an older version than what is shown. However, no matter what I do to change the scroll wheel settings, it still only scrolls three lines per click in all applications.

As for the 3rd one, I’m going to edit the question. Edit: I can’t seem to find the link I amended my answer with more steps. I have used Workstation for about 20 years and never had this issue.
